Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

His canon height isn't really known, but he seems to be roughly around the same height as his classmates, if not a bit on the short side. However, he is a growing boy and hasn't quite hit puberty yet so he still has room to grow. As far as his weight goes, he's pretty average. While he eats a lot, he burns it off quickly by playing soccer.

How old is he?

By the end of 02, he's 11 and by the end of Diablomon Strikes Back it's safe to assume that he's 12 (as Miyako is seen trying on a middle school uniform.)

Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

As well as any leader should, yes. He's probably prone to slouching when he's unsure of himself or disinterested in something (like school work or someone shooting his idea down) or when he's tired.

How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

He's as healthy as any boy his age should be. He keeps himself in shape by playing soccer. As far as any illnesses or disabilities goes, he's got nothing.

How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

He moves with an air of confidence mostly. When he isn't sure of something/himself he'll probably move or approaching things timidly.

How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?

He might not be drop dead gorgeous, but he isn't hideous either. He's... just in the middle. Of course he thinks he's the next best thing since sliced pie. But-- he does have a lovely smile. It's pretty sincere and just... very warm.

Since he is from Japan I'm assuming he has a rather pale complexion. But since he plays a lot of outside soccer he has a tan.

It's an odd reddish burgundy mahogany mix. In some depictions it looks darkish red and in others it looks darkish brown. His hairstyle is short and spiky.

What color are his eyes?

Brown!

Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

not... really, no.

What are his chief tension centers?

His shoulders/back area and quite possibly his temples. He is the leader of the new batch of Chosen Children, so he has a lot of stressful decisions to make (when he makes them) and those areas tend to get quite tense over time when dealing with these kinds of decisions.

What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?

He likes to layer and his preferred colors tend to be blue/purple. When it's hot he'll wear a short sleeved shirt with a sleeveless vest and shorts. If it's cold he'll wear a longer sleeved shirt with the same kind of sleeveless vest and shorts. Some times he'll switch out the sleeveless vest for a short sleeved shirt (when wearing a long sleeved shirt.) He also likes to wear wristbands.

Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?

Yes, they seem to fit him well

Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

When he's in the Digital World his outfit changes, but only slightly. Instead of sleeveless vests, he wears a jacket.

Boxers. (But I could see him trying to go commando...)

It depends on which version we're talking about. Overall he sounds like a kid. In the Japanese he probably sounds more like a girl (since he's voiced by a girl in the original) but it isn't really bad since... he hasn't really gone through puberty.

How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?

He's pretty loud to an annoying degree. But it's his nature to be loud. How quickly he speaks depends on the topic of conversation. If it's interesting, or if he's talking to one of his friends for the first time since whenever he'll tend to have long-winded sentences. He also tends to babble off on unimportant things when he gets into it.

Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Not really sure what to put for his dialect because I fail at detecting those when it comes to Japan. But he does have a verbal tic! He, in the dub anyways, tends to favor using "dude" in his speech a lot.

What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?

He is pretty fluent in Japanese, as it's his native tongue, and he knows a bit of English. I'm assuming? Since he was able to carry a conversation with the kids in New York. (Though it is unknown whether or not Mimi or Michael helped translate)

Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

Nnnnnnnope.

Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?

He's good at coming up with things on the spot? But he should definitely think before he speaks sometimes as he's known to just blurt things out on a fly. Perfect example? Calling Miyako a monkey.

Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

He's... right in the middle. He might not sound as smart as say Ken or Miyako, but he doesn't sound like a bumbling fool when speaking either.

How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?

SOB, HE IS NOT AS SMART AS HIS BEST FRIEND KEN. Studying is probably an evil torture device his parents use on him for soccer games. (i.e: YOU CAN'T PLAY UNTIL YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK) But he definitely has street smarts. And he can put two and two together given enough... evidence. He was the first one to clue on on Ken being the Kaiser, after all.

Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?

He is definitely one to think on his feet. Taking the time to think up a plan of action takes time out of whatever they're doing. He definitely believes in the whole "act now, ask questions later" motive.

Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

He's definitely intuitive. Even if it's logical he'll go with his gut feeling over all. Logically speaking he had every right to stay as far away from Ken, but... he chose to kick those reasons to the curb. Ken changed, there was no reason to exclude him from the group.

What kind of education has the character had?

hahaha he doesn't have much. He's a fifth sixth grader where I've pulled him from. But yes, he is currently a student.

What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?

Soccer, most definitely anything having to deal with the sport. And most possibly cooking. He does own a noodle cart in the future. Seeing as he's not really great with his school courses I can see him gravitating towards things like extra curricular activities.

Is he an introvert or an extrovert?

Most definitely an extrovert.

Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

He... he has his moments.???!!! Overall he's very happy-go-lucky. But something pretty simple could set him off. Thankfully he isn't one to really hold grudges and will tend to forget what it was he was angry over five minutes after the argument happens. In fact, I can only see him holding a grudge if it were something dreadfully serious. He rolls with the punches, so to say, after a while. As he is a goggle boy, he is very cheerful and can be driven if he's rewarded for it at the end.

How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

He isn't all too suspicious when it comes to new people. Unless they just... rub him the wrong way, then he has no reason to be suspicious of them. As for being in a new place he'll complain about it and would want to know how to get back home-- but if that proves fruitless, then he'll just... roll with the punches and try to make best of the situation.

Is he more likely to act, or to react?

Both? He's very driven and if something were to just... interrupt his train of thought then he'll act accordingly.

Fight, most definitely fight. He'll fight till the end and won't give up for anything, unless his friends are at jeopardy and the only way to save them would be by surrendering.

Oh lord, he loves jokes. All kinds of jokes. Unless they're cracked on him. If they are then he'll probably pout about it.

Nnnnope.

What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

Getting Taichi's goggles and becoming the new leader for the Chosen Children is probably the highest on his list. Lifting the digi-mentals of courage and friendship are also on there too. These events shaped him into the Daisuke we all know and love now. Another deeming moment in his life would probably be talking sense into his friends for the final battle with BelialVamdemon.

What does he fear?

Letting his friends down is probably high up on the list.

What are his hopes or aspirations?

TO OPEN A NOODLE CART WHEN HE GETS OLDER. I shit you not. :l

What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?

Nothing???? He generally has nothing to hide? And if he does he'll probably end up blabbing about it later on by accident or something. Like sucking his toes when he was a baby.

He has... an alright relationship with his parents? He might not be an angel with them, but he genuinely loves them and vice versa.

Yes, he has one annoying older sister. They too have an okay relationship. It's not exactly saintly, nor is it anything like Hikari's relationship with Taichi or Takeru's relationship with Yamato. But they have their... moments. He just wishes she would stop hitting on his friends.

Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?

No outstanding blood relatives here.

Taichi Yagami? He idolizes the ground he walks on, practically. They have an awesome relationship that involves playing soccer and eating ramen. When they're not talking about the Digital World anyways...

Who is the character's best friend? How did they meet?

Ken Ichijouji! Ironically they were pitted against each other when Ken was the Kaiser, but, funny how things turn out in the end... After Ken straightened up his act (and realized that the Digital World wasn't a game) the two had a strained relationship but they were able to see eye to eye after Daisuke slapped Ken to his senses.

Does he have other close friends?

Yup! The other Chosen Children. He isn't as close to some of the older Chosen Children, but he gets along with them fine when he has to. He's more closest to the new batch.

Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?

When he doesn't feel threatened by them? Yep! He can easily make friends at the drop of a hat.

Which does he consider more important: family or friends?

Both. But to him he considers most of his friends almost like family anyways.

HE IS TWELVE. WHAT IS RELATIONSHIPS. WHAT IS MARRIAGE. I think his parents and sister would have a conniption if he got married at that age.

WHAT IS RELATIONSHIPS?! He is single. And forever in love with Hikari.

Iiiiit's not really known whether or not Hikari was his first crush, but I'm going to go with that. However after a good year of chasing after her and ending up with nothing it's starting to wane into a more of a... friendshipy thing.

What does he look for in a romantic partner?

Someone who truly listens to him. He talks a lot, and it's annoying. When he gets excited over things he babbles. He wants someone who can take that in and possibly give the same energy right back to him.

LMAO. TWELVE. YEARS. OLD. He has a kid when he's older though, so yes! He definitely wants one

Ken? In a good way! He admires the boy's soccer skills and strives to get good enough to the point where he can beat him in a match.

Probably a 1? Mostly because I can see him potentially swinging the other way depending on the situation/person.

TWELVE. YEARS. OLD. come on guys. Sex really isn't on his mind anyways. It's probably the last thing on his mind, no. I don't even know if sex has been explained to him yet seeing as he's only a fifth sixth grader.

Before I sound like a broken record, I could see him potentially being turned on by someone standing their ground to him. Telling him what to do, and junk.

Daisuke is a Leo and was born under the year of the Ram. These both fit him exceedingly well.

It... isn't really stated whether or not he's a religious teen? I don't... think so, all things considering he's from Japan. Obviously he believes in Kami-sama, but as far as anything else goes... 8|a

He believes that people should get second chances. If they've honestly changed their tune and are trying to fix things, then yes. They deserve another chance.

Daisuke is a rather curious boy. But he won't disrespect someone for what they believe in. He'll try his best to understand where they're coming from and will try equally hard to get the person to understand where he's coming from. But he won't... shove it down their throats. Unless it's a pressing matter.

HE HOLDS NO PREJUDICES. He sees the good in everybody, so long as they don't rub him the wrong way.

He's.... a kid?? His parents seem to be alright and he seems to get whatever he wants, as long as it's decently priced? I'm assuming, he lives a comfortable life. And in route he seems to earn his money via pokébattles.

EHHH?? He's... a goggle derp. And a student. He doesn't really have a high enough social status for other people to care about. He isn't a super genius, guys.

In Odaiba he lives in an apartment with his parents and sister. It seems alright, nothing unusual since most people who live in cities in Japan all live in apartments. And in route he stays in hotels, if he can.

VIDEO GAMES. And manga, probably. In route he spends his money on practical things like potions and pokéballs. And food. And half of however it costs to rent a hotel out for however many days they're staying in whatever town/city has hotels.

HE SAVES ALL THE DIGIMANS WITH HIS DIGIMON VEEMON. He's okay, he gets by with a little help from his friends-- Anyways, he has the hang of things! In route he's going around attempting to be the pokémon master. He's kind of failing at it though since it took him almost a year to get a badge :B;;

PLAYING VIDEO GAMES, HANGING OUT WITH FRIENDS, EATING, AND PLAYING SOCCER. Yup. When he's not out saving his world and the Digital World or learning things at school, anyways.

HE EATS EVERYTHING. Mostly anything his parents cook. He loves ramen, and I'm sure he would inhale it if he could. OBVIOUSLY he is a child so drinking alcohol is out of the question. He doesn't seem the type to skip out on meals, but he does seem the type to shy away from certain vegetables...
